Richard is a Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London.
He has maintained a specialist interest in the management of general and procedure-related anxiety in children for more than fifteen years.
Having undergone comprehensive training in hypnotherapy with The BST foundation he graduated with distinction and subsequently joined the faculty as an external examiner and medical advisor.
He set up and delivered a hypnotherapy service and clinic for children with needle phobia, general and procedure-related anxiety at Great Ormond Street in January 2008.
He practiced as an independent hypnotherapist for adults and children in Harley Street before focussing his attention on The POEMS initiative.
He lectures nationally and internationally on the management of procedure related anxiety, is a co-founder of POEMS for Children, a Director of POEMS For Children Limited and a Trustee of The POEMS For Children Charity.
Mike is a Senior Operating Department Practitioner and Assistant Practice Educator at Great Ormond Street Hospital for children.
He maintains a special interest in education, performance enhancement and anxiety management.
With more than 18 years experience as a hypnotherapist, he is BUPA registered and has practiced at the Priory Hospital for over 20 years.
Mike is part of the Great Ormond Street Practice Education Team and lectures at London South Bank University. He is a co-founder of POEMS For Children, a Director of POEMS For Children Limited, a Trustee of The POEMS For Children Charity, a member of The Institute for Learning, a Fellow of The Royal Society of Art, a member of The Royal Institute of Philosophy and a member of The British Society Of Clinical Hypnosis.

Is a Consultant in Paediatric Anaesthesia at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Having completed comprehensive training in hypnotherapy at The BST Foundation and graduated with distinction. He maintains a specialist interest in education, the management and prevention of procedure-related anxiety, performance anxiety and in particular anxiety related to examinations, interviews and presentations. He is a co-founder of POEMS for Children, a Director of POEMS For Children Limited, a Trustee of The POEMS For Children Charity, a Member of the Association of Paediatric Anaesthetists and a Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine.

Dr Maria Georghiou MBBS FRCA BcS Physiology DCHyp
Is a consultant in anaesthetic with an interest in obstetrics, paediatric anaesthesia and pain management. She gained training in clinical hypnosis through The BST Foundation. She is a Director of POEMS For Children Limited and a Trustee of The POEMS For Children Charity.
Dr Fraser Harban MB BS Dip IMC RCS(Ed) FRCA
Is a consultant in Paediatric anaesthesia at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
He has a special interest in anxiety management, cardiac anaesthesia and anaesthesia in the developing world.
He has 10 years experience in the delivery of anxiety management techniques. Fraser attended the very first POEMS course in the Summer of 2007 and since then has promoted and further developed the management strategies we teach.

Is a locum consultant in paediatric and adult anaesthesia at Brighton and Sussex University Hospital. APA
He has an interest in both paediatric and adult perioperative anxiety.
He is an active member of The APA and The Royal society of medicine.
